Social CONNECT Groups

The goal of this innovative program is to help children, teens, and young adults build positive relationships and develop socio-emotional skills to enhance their life.

Connecting Through Play: Playful Tots (Ages 3-5)

This group is a fun way for young children to learn collaborative skills such as sharing, turn taking , problem-solving, sharing, and communication in a small group setting to maximize interaction and support. Groups are held weekly for forty-five minutes.
Day/Time: Starting in October!

Connecting Through Play: Play On! (Ages 5-10)

Your child will have fun while facilitating social connection through interactive and joint play during weekly one-hour sessions. This group focuses on collaboration, communication, flexibility, teamwork, problem-solving, and turn-taking in a small and supportive setting.
Day/Time: Starting in October!

Tween Connect: Express Yourself (Ages 11-13)

Would your tween benefit from building social, emotional, and relationship skills in creative and fun ways to encourage positive connections, friendships, and relationships? If yes, this group is for them! A combination of talk time, expressive arts activities, collaborative challenges, and activities to promote self-reflection will be used to facilitate learning in meaningful ways. The group includes off-site activities to practice connection skills out in the community!

Topics include: healthy friendships/relationships, navigating tricky social situations, managing stress, handling conflict, conversation skills, self-esteem, electronic communication, and social media!
Day/Time: Starting in October!

Teen Connect: Strictly Social (Ages 13-17)

Your teen will focus on learning emotional, social, and relationship skills in meaningful ways to encourage positive connections, friendships, and relationships. A combination of chat time, collaborative challenges, activities to promote self-reflection, and hang-out time will be used to facilitate learning. The group includes off-site activities to practice connection skills and have fun in the community. Topics include: navigating tricky social situations, conversation skills, electronic communication and social media, handling stress, teamwork, flexibility, conflict resolution, and self-esteem
Day/Time: Starting in October!

Young Adult Connect: Connecting the Dots to Independence (Ages 18- 25)

The road to adulting and independence is hard! This group helps young adults build social, emotional, relationship, and life skills in interactive and meaningful ways to encourage positive connections, friendships, interpersonal relationships, and independence. A combination of check-in time, topic discussion, and self-awareness activities will be used to facilitate learning in meaningful ways. The group includes off-site activities to practice connection and independence skills in the community. Group topics are specific to the needs of the group members but may include: healthy relationships and dating, coping with challenges, job readiness skills, time management, improving organizational skills, money management, and conflict resolution. Day/Time: Starting in October!
